Building a Network of Informed, Committed, and Engaged Community Leaders

Submission of the form below indicates that you have read the class schedule and agree to complete assignments, attend all sessions (as noted above), work collaboratively with the cohort outside of session days, and be an active participant.

We realize that  many participants work for small or non-profit companies, and we work to keep the program cost low.  The program cost covers class materials, a continental breakfast, and a catered lunch each day of the program.  A limited number of partial, needs-based scholarships are available.  Employer sponsorships are welcome and encouraged.

Prior to filling out the form below, we suggest that you read all questions carefully and prepare answers in advance.

Please also submit a copy of your current resume to Program Facilitator, Robin McIntosh, at appledore.drm (at) gmail (dot) com.

Our program year begins September, 2019, and runs until June, 2020. The cost to attend the 9-month program year is $750.  Som scholarship opportunities are available for up to 1/2 of the cost of tuition (see below).  Morning coffee, snacks, and a catered lunch are provided on each program day.

Applications are due by August 31, 2019.  Notifications of acceptance will begin August 23, 2019, with a rolling acceptance notification after that date..

NOTE:  Classes will be held on THURSDAYs this year in response to feedback from previous classes.

Participant Commitment:  A tremendous amount of work, coordination, and collaboration go into making Midcoast Leadership Academy a great program.  It is important for each class member to attend every session, to fully participate, and to complete activities outside of the class time.

We understand that “real life” sometimes interferes, but please be aware that participants will be asked to withdraw if more than two sessions are missed.  Provision may be made for inclusion in a future class.

*Mandatory attendance is required for the LEAP (Sept. 19-20) and Final Program Day (June 4).

A graduation reception/celebration will be held following our final program day.
